Oily skin happens when the sebaceous glands in the skin. produce and release too much of extra sebum which then, appears on the skin. Sebum is the oily and waxy substance which is released by the sebaceous glands. It protects and hydrates the skin to keep it healthy.

However, when too much of extra oil is released, it makes the skin oily, eventually leading to clogged pores which often cause acne.
