5 Ways to Maintain a Healthy Lifestyle
Health is wealth this is a famous proverb which actually stands true. A healthy body, mind and soul is always free from any disease and keeps a person happy. In order to inculcate a healthy lifestyle there are certain habits which should be included in our daily routine and should be followed rigorously:
1. Stay well hydrated
As we all know our body is made up of 80% water, this means that water is very necessary in order to keep the body well functioned, build a strong immune system, optimal muscle performance and to get a better skin. You should at least drink 8 glasses of water a day. Drinking less water can make you dehydrated, fatigue, headache, dry skin, and weakened immunity.
This is a must in order to keep yourself fit from inside and out. Research has shown that exercising daily brings tremendous benefits to our health, including an increase in lifespan, lowering of risk of diseases, higher bone density, and weight loss. Include activity in your life. Choose walking over transport for close distances. Instead of using lift take the stairs. Join an aerobics class or a dance class. Pick a sport of your liking. Try to be active as much as you can.
3. Enjoy plenty of fruits and vegetables
Fruits and greens are a few of the maximum crucial meals for giving us sufficient vitamins, minerals and fiber. We need to try and consume as a minimum five servings a day. Processed food is not good because most of the nutritional value is lost in the creation of these foods, and the added preservatives are bad for our health. Many processed foods contain a high amount of salt which leads to higher blood pressure and heart disease. In general, the more ingredients a food has on the label (ending with ‘ite’ or ‘ate’), the more processed it is. Go for less processed food such as a baked potato over chips, fresh fruit over canned fruit, and intact grains over white bread.
